Our mini-board for Salesforce conference!

Mandate

Salesforce was looking for a cool promotional product to place in the lounges of their Big Conference. The idea was to have nice items dispose on the table so each guest could use it and bring back with them.

With this project, Salesforce is giving its partners unique products that have positive impacts on our environment. Here’s how.

The positive impacts of locally-made product

Economic spinoffs – We’re committed to locally sourcing our products: it’s one of our most important values. For this project, we worked with Montreal design studio Machine DA. The designers bought their materials from 2 Quebec manufacturers. The engraving on the wood  was made by a local company and the production was done in their studio in Montreal. That means 5 local businesses were involved in the creation process for this unique product.

Environmental impacts – Like we said, manufacturing and production were local, meaning products were only transported from one province to another. We’re all located in Montreal and Salesforce in Toronto. The products only travelled 340 miles to reach the team! So not much greenhouse gas was produced overall — that’s a win for the company!

Social benefits – By handing out a locally made product, Salesforce is putting the spotlight on local products and showing off the creativity of Canadian designers. Salesforce is therefore positioning itself to promote local talent.

Salesforce – A role model for our Ecoleaders

Salesforce can see the impact it makes by choosing a B Corp certified local supplier: it encourages local creativity, minimizes environmental impacts and supports jobs in the country. This strategy is in line with its mission and overall vision.
