With the shift in workplaces and the arrival of new employees working remotely, Behaviour was looking for a gift box to offer to new members of their teams. They wanted to focus on Quebec products to showcase the talent of local people, as they do every day in their projects.
" We have always offered goodies to our new employees. With the pandemic and the new reality, we wanted to revisit this concept a little. People are all working from home and we want to make sure our employees develop a sense of belonging to Behaviour! ", says Camille Bourret, talent acquisition coordinator at Behaviour.
Working with Cindy Couture, a partner at Kotmo, Camille and her colleagues selected a set of products that best represent Behaviour's values. Like Kotmo, Behaviour was keen to encourage Quebec talent: " Behaviour is a Montreal-based company. We've always been committed to supporting local businesses; it's been part of Behaviour's mission from the very beginning. It's also aligned with our sustainable development pillar and Behaviour's corporate social responsibility mission. »
A thoughtful selection of products
The selection of items in the Welcome box was carefully made to ensure that we offer useful and practical products.

First, they chose a gray sweatshirt made in Quebec to proudly wear Behaviour every day thanks to the Behaviour logo printed on the right sleeve. “ We wanted to make sure we offered products that were adapted to our current pandemic reality. So what better way to work from home than with a crewneck! ” Camille emphasizes. This sweater is made by a Quebec company from recycled cotton and polyester. In addition to being comfortable, this garment encourages local design and expertise.

Next, a neck warmer was selected to encourage an active lifestyle. Ideal for outdoor running or simply to keep warm in winter. This neck warmer is made in Quebec from polyester with a microfleece lining.

To spark creativity, a wheat husk pen has been added to the set. It's made from agricultural waste from the grain harvest. It's also been carefully personalized in Quebec with the Behaviour logo.
A face covering provided by the Behaviour team has been added to the box. Additionally, a personalized card is included in each shipment to officially welcome new team members.
As for product delivery, Kotmo is responsible for shipping the Welcome Boxes directly to new employees and storing the merchandise in its warehouse. What we particularly like about working with Kotmo is that the team handles delivery and inventory management. This has really simplified the process internally, especially in the current context. " , adds Camille.

An experience that makes all the difference
We can see that companies can transform their employee onboarding by adapting to the challenges of 2021. By offering this attention to their new employees, Camille and her team have received very positive feedback: “ People are happy with this nice surprise, they love the products! We had a lot of nice messages from our new employees, which we took the time to deliver directly to their homes when they weren't expecting it! The teams also think it's a great idea!” »
By working with Quebec businesses and manufacturers on this project, we have promoted local artisans while supporting the local economy. It is with wise choices like these that organizations show their teams that they are truly motivated to support businesses in Quebec and Canada.
